Every Cat Deserves a Chance

Furry Godmothers Cat Rescue works to rescue, rehabilitate, and find loving homes for cats while helping prevent homelessness in our community.

Every cat deserves a safe place to call home. Meet the cats in our care and find the one who may be the perfect addition to your family.

You can change a cat’s life without making a lifelong commitment. Fostering gives a cat a safe, loving place to grow, heal, and prepare for adoption.

Your support helps provide food, supplies, veterinary care, and the resources cats need to heal, thrive, and find their forever homes.

Vinnie was a neighborhood favorite long before he became a Furry Godmother. He wandered several blocks, charming everyone he met with his sweet, charismatic personality. But behind those adorable chirps were eyes that were becoming increasingly painful.

One person in his neighborhood refused to give up on him. They patiently worked to get Vinnie to safety and finally into the care he desperately needed.

The vet discovered that Vinnie had been blind in both eyes since early in life. His eyes were severely damaged, chronically infected, and causing him pain. Although he couldn't regain his sight, he could finally be free from that pain.

Vinnie underwent surgery to remove both eyes, along with his neuter and vaccinations.

Today, Vinnie is recovering beautifully. He's curious, playful, wonderfully sweet, and has a foster who absolutely adores him.He may never see the world around him, but now he gets to experience something even more important:Safety. Love. A second chance.

Help us give more cats the second chance Vinnie received.

We Need You!

Every life we save begins with someone who simply decided to care. A foster who opened their home. A volunteer who gave an afternoon. A transporter who made the drive. A donor who gave what they could. None of these acts seem extraordinary on their own, but together they change the course of a cat's life forever. That's the magic of Furry Godmothers—not fairy tales, but real people showing up when it matters most. Whether you have an hour to spare, a special skill to share, or simply a heart for helping animals, you have the power to make a lasting difference. Join our community, and become the reason a frightened cat finds safety, hope, and a place to call home.
